So grateful to have attended the eLearn2024 Conference – World Conference on EdTech, organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) in Singapore. It was an incredible experience presenting the research I’ve been working on with my supervisor Tang T. Heng and engaging with researchers and practitioners from over 30 countries, exploring the latest developments in EdTech and Gen AI. I was truly honored to meet and learn from renowned experts in the field, including Curtis Bonk (one of my favourite professors from IU), Cecilia K. Y. Chan, Elliot Soloway, Cathie Norris, Helen Crompton, Jon Mason, Theo Bastiaens, ABTAR SINGH, and Lillian Koh. Their inspiring keynotes, constructive feedback, and heartfelt encouragement were invaluable. Looking forward to many more opportunities to learn from them in the future! #eLearn2024

Have to admit that we strongly admit we strongly agree with Prof. Adit Gupta! 🤩
Director at Model Institute of Education and Research, Jammu. Principal and Professor at MIER College of Education. Editor-in-Chief at MIER Journal of Educational Studies, Trends & Practices.
🌟 Hello from eLearn 2024 in Singapore! I've just wrapped up presenting our research on the effectiveness of blended learning in Indian higher education, co-authored with Prof. (Dr.) Mool Raj Sharma. This esteemed conference, organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE), has been an exhilarating platform for sharing and discussing cutting-edge ideas in educational technology. Our paper, backed by the TEL project under the Commonwealth of Learning, delved into how perceptions of students and teachers influence learning outcomes, drawing keen interest from a global audience of educators and researchers. 📚💡 The conference has been filled with enriching experiences. I was fortunate to attend an insightful keynote by Prof. Helen Crompton that explored the latest AI innovations in education—furthermore, an engaging AI workshop led by Prof. ABTAR SINGH, Ts. Jonathan Kovilpillai, Vaikunthan Rajaratnam, Fumiko Konno and Fahd Raza from the Asia Pacific University of Technology provided practical insights into AI in learning design. Meetings with leading figures like Prof. Curtis Bonk and Prof. Jon Mason enriched my understanding of the evolving landscape of e-learning and technology education. 🌐🤖 As I continue to soak in the vibrant atmosphere here, the discussions and insights gained at eLearn 2024 are incredibly stimulating. I look forward to bringing these new perspectives and innovative ideas back to enhance our projects and collaborations. #eLearn2024 #EducationalTechnology #BlendedLearning #AIinEducation MIER College of Education (Autonomous)

Great session!!
Mentorship has far reaching effects for mentees and mentors...Nathan L. Vanderford, PhD, MBA has been a great mentor to Priyanka Ravi which has benefitted everyone. I had the pleasure of benefitting from this as well as I got to learn about Nathan's work and see how we can work together. Far reaching effects begin with small things!! #globalhealth #publichealth #cancer AACE University of Arizona Public Health Research Institute of India (PHRII)

In our latest research paper, 'Navigating the AI Landscape: Educator Insights and Pedagogical Implications in New Zealand' published in the Journal of Technology and Teacher Education by AACE, Brendon Shaw and I share findings from our survey of New Zealand educators on AI use in education. Key insights: 7% of educators use AI daily, whilst 36% rarely or never use it 72% of schools lack AI policies to support teachers and students 55% of educators have had no professional development on AI However, educators see potential: Reduced administrative work could enable more face-to-face teaching time AI could support resource creation and differentiation There's opportunity for enhanced feedback mechanisms Next steps: Schools need to prioritise AI literacy through clear policies and ongoing professional development. We must ensure AI becomes not just a tool for efficiency, but a catalyst for deeper, more meaningful educational experiences. Want to learn more?
