About us
The Boston Section of AACE International provides an active business community for cost engineering and management professionals in the greater Boston region. The Section serves a wide variety of professionals including: cost engineers and managers, project managers, planners and schedulers, estimators and bidders, value engineers, earned value professionals, and claims consultants. The Section seeks to support its members in their awareness of the requirements, standards and best practices required for the planning, development, and execution of all aspects of project controls and in the application of total cost management (TCM) to the scope, cost, and schedule of any particular program or project throughout its life-cycle. We aim to achieve these goals through a variety of professional development seminars, field trips, and networking opportunities, to maintain a lively and active forum for members as well as other professional colleagues in the greater Boston region.

The Section is excited to announce that AACE International has selected the Boston Section as the 2024 Winner for the Excellence in Innovation Section Award. The Excellence in Innovation Award recognizes creativity and innovation. It is for sections that develop a unique or creative initiative outside of the section’s regular duties. Our section's application for this award highlighted the student outreach efforts of our Section Member of the Year Award Winner, Luc Saroufim of Patrick. He developed a great presentation to bridge the gap between academia and the industry by introducing students to the rewarding career opportunities available in cost engineering. This presentation was presented to the students of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Northeastern University over the past year opening up doors for more future engagements with these prestigious Universities.

Last night's AACE Boston Section Annual Dinner at Il Massimo in Dedham was well attended and was a great time. Lots of new faces were introduced to AACE International, and a lot of regulars all got together to cap off a great year. AACEi is an organization that brings together professionals from the beginning of a project's concept to the end and has representatives from Owners, Contractors, Consultants, and Engineers, this night really captures the diversity of AACEi. Thank you to our Sponsors Patrick, J.S. Held LLC, Urban Solutions, and Mott MacDonald for helping make this a great event.
