Our 2024 summer interns had a community service day at Forgotten Harvest last week! The group helped package more than 8,700 pounds of food for distribution to families in need throughout the community. “It was rewarding to give back and work alongside such a dedicated team,” said Austin Mathews, an intern with AAA Life’s Finance department. Our interns’ experience this summer has included meet-and-greets with our executive leadership team, lunch outings, and hands-on training about the benefits of LinkedIn. We are grateful for their energy and enthusiasm as they learn and grow at AAA Life!

AAA Life is expanding its team and looking for experienced Life Underwriters! This position will aid in analyzing, evaluating, and classifying risk of complex life insurance applications, providing support for contract changed and reinstatement life underwriting, and reviewing medical history, physical condition, and occupational hazards. Qualified candidates will have experience in fully underwritten life products and an aptitude for exceptional customer service, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment where they can demonstrate a high level of initiative and follow-through on new projects. Job requirements include at least a two-year college degree in finance, business, or economics; or equivalent work experience with a minimum three years’ experience in Individual Life Insurance Underwriting. Applicants should have experience in fully underwritten products. Proficiency in interpreting MIB codes and preparing data and reports for the Medical Information Bureau is essential. This individual will lead the team in crafting copy, messaging, designs, and experiences that build awareness for AAA Life, educate consumers and AAA members on life insurance, drive consideration of our products, help engage and retain policyholders, and ultimately support organizational strategy goals. Qualified candidates will have a deep understanding of advertising guidelines and be able to coach our internal marketing team throughout the entire content development lifecycle, while also reporting on results of brand and content programs. Job requirements include a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field; 7 or more years of experience in marketing – preferably in financial services, life insurance, or a comparable regulated industry, and 3 to 5 years of management experience or experience leading internal and external creative resources.
