Last week, we had a dynamic convergence of our Data Coaches, ACI Coaches, Executive, Admin, and Communications teams at our HQ from all corners of Washington. The focus was on crafting strategies related to youth engagement, data improvement, and cross-community collaboration, all aimed at preventing and ultimately ending youth and young adult homelessness in our state. The Supreme Court recently ruled that people experiencing homelessness are not included in the Constitution’s protections against cruel and unusual punishment. This dangerous precedent affects the quarter of a million people who sleep outside each night and millions of families one paycheck away from homelessness. Today's decision is out of step with most Americans who reject jailing or fining people for sleeping outside. Now, more than ever, our community is committed to proven solutions to end homelessness: real-time data, racial equity, and affordable housing. #HomelessnessIsSolvable #JohnsonVGrantsPass
