About us

The 9/11 Tribute Museum, a project of the September 11th Families’ Association, first began serving the public in 2006. Dedicated to collecting and sharing the stories of those who were directly impacted by 9/11, the Tribute Museum provides a cultural and historical context for understanding the events of September 11th through the personal experiences of the 9/11 community. For the past ten years, the 9/11 Tribute Museum has served the public with guided tours of the memorial led by survivors, family members, rescue workers and other volunteers whose stories provide personal engagement for visitors with members of the 9/11 community. With five thematic galleries located directly across the street from the World Trade Center, visitors can also learn about the historical events of 9/11 through film, objects, images and personal testimonials. 9/11 Tribute Museum History in Numbers: ● 5 Million Visitors ● 309k Visitors on Tours ● 100k Students Served ● Over 800 Trained Volunteers ● 645k Stories Shared ● 615 Recorded Histories For more information on the 9/11 Tribute Museum, visit 911tributemuseum.org.
