As we do each month, our team gathered online in December. We reflected on the past year and planned for the year ahead 📆 This year was challenging for many companies, with the collapse of the startup banking system, the global recession, inflation, and tech layoffs ⛈ Despite these clouds, Native still experienced many bright lights in 2023 🕯 🛫 We won our 4th contract with the United States Air Force 🤠 We received significant support from the State of Wyoming and the Wyoming Business Council 🌉 We launched our Native Bridge integration for Intercom 💬 We completed the MVP of Native Flow We are looking forward to many more successes in 2024, so stay tuned! America’s Seed Fund, powered by the National Science Foundation (NSF), has awarded Free to Feed™ a quarter million dollar grant to advance our work in real-time allergen detection technology for dietary proteins transferred to human milk. This is BIG milestone for the small but mighty team at Free to Feed. This is HUGE for food allergy research! We do this important research for the hundreds of thousands of parents who have struggled through their child’s food allergies without proper support. We are advocating, researching, and making significant advancements in the way parents navigate infant food allergy diagnosis and treatment. We are doing this work so that mothers don’t feel that abruptly stopping breastfeeding is their only option when confronted with infant food allergies, as many experience today. There is a better way forward. Your nursing journey does not need to end at the first sign of food allergies in your baby. You CAN resolve your infants uncomfortable symptoms, and MEET your feeding goals! We are hard at work developing solutions to do just that, and this grant is accelerating the speed at which we can bring to market revolutionary products, *drumroll please….* The first at-home human milk allergen test kit! 📣 a little louder for those in the back. This grant will allow us to bring to market the first ever at-home human milk allergen test kit!!! We are incredibly passionate about this research and bringing these tests to market so that parents, like YOU, can experience a faster and more efficient journey to identify your infant’s triggers, and resolve their symptoms at the root cause!
