    Our Thoughts on YASC North America 2024 Last week's YASC conference in San Diego truly lived up to the theme of "The Journey Continues!" In CEO Anant Yardi's general session speech, he recalled the long journey of launching the company in 1984 and growing it to today's 10,000-employee global enterprise. Even the Apple II computer Anant wrote the initial program on made the trip to San Diego. Perseverance, tenacity and optimism were keys to his success then and now. So was the ability to take advantage of the smallest opportunities. Something as simple as scaling Yardi's software to a single disk versus the multiple disks typically required at the time created an advantage. How do you clarify your vision, goals and opportunities? What habits and traits ensure you can reach your objectives? And how do you recover and grow after setbacks? For industry leaders, Anant's speech underscored the importance of creating relationships built on trust, both internally and externally. Taking care of employees and customers is more important than focusing solely on profits. We're called to celebrate our talented teams publicly and work on recovering from mistakes privately. Acknowledge setbacks, chart a road to recovery, and pay attention to challenges because, so often, opportunity lurks right behind. After the rousing opening remarks, the nearly 5,000 YASC attendees explored numerous developments in the Yardisphere, including Voyager 8 and Virtuoso, heralding a new era of highly visual, AI-driven functionality. And, of course, we can't forget the always epic Yardi party headlined by, appropriately enough, Journey, who dominated the charts when Yardi software was born 40 years ago. Thank you to Anant Yardi and the entire Yardi team for putting together an event that was as inspiring as it was informative.
