We’re all familiar with the line, “Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays.” So what happens when you relocate right before the holidays and are still getting settled? Well, that’s where Wendi, one of our customer service representatives, comes in. Wendi was recently nominated for her Big-hearted gesture toward a new teammate who had recently moved out of state right before the holiday season. Her nomination reads:   "Wendi is seriously so Big-hearted. She knew that my family and I are new to Utah and was kind enough to extend an invite for Thanksgiving. I can't begin to express how much that small gesture truly warmed my heart. She's always so kind and looking out for our team. Truly thankful for her Big-hearted gesture and her! Our Spooktacular event last month was too fun not to share. During October, we held weekly challenges designed to get our associates in the Halloween mood, which included “humerus” joke submissions, a pumpkin carving challenge, and a coloring contest for our associates and their children. This companywide event was a great way to bring our different campuses together, create connections, and engage our people in some friendly competitions – complete with prizes. Exciting things are happening at our organization! Earlier today, our leadership team unveiled our new parent company, SeekWell. Created internally, SeekWell is the new home for our existing businesses: 1-800 Contacts, Luna, and Hello Eyes. We had a memorable time at the 2023 Women Tech Awards which were held earlier this month. It's always a highlight for us being able to attend this event and hearing from the incredible speakers. Shout-out to our associates who participated in Extra Life, our 24-hour charitable giving gaming event, earlier this month. 🎮🎲 Together, we were able to raise over $6,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Never has giving back been so much fun or so memorable. Elise, one of our associates who participated, shared: "Primary Children's Hospital saved my life when I was born and my sister's life. When I heard that 1-800 Contacts was doing an Extra Life gaming event for 24-hours to donate to a good cause, I told my husband we should totally do that since we love to play board games and video games, and it benefits all those children with all the money we raised. We just felt it was the right thing to do. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely take part in participating in the next one." We also want to thank those behind the scenes who planned and delivered such a great event for our associates and their guests.
