You need to understand that even having the best tools won't help you much, unless you learn how to prioritize and manage your time. You need to spend quite a lot (at least more then some would like) time panning. You need to see a bigger picture for your project, at least a year or two. You need to have an understanding of most valuable parts of the project. Detect stages in which you can build. Then you need to plan every quarter, what do you want to achieve. Then narrow down to a month. Then every sprint (if you work in sprints) or every week. And when you set a to-do for a day you need to keep project priorities first. Sounds like a lot of planning, I know. But if you want to come from point A to point B you need a route, a plan.

Where we not just discuss long-term topics like which DB is better for which cases and writing tips & tricks that worked with someone in a tough bug that could help someone else, which would be lost if written on Slack.
