Evaluate the following: -If the employee is following right process -Giving correct & required resolution -Able to understand the issue or concern -Knows the SOP -Taking appropriate time to resolve the issue or not If the employee fails in any of the above it is a sign that the employee requires additional training. I suggest weekly analysis of all of the daily performance evaluations. If the employees falls under a very odd number comparatively to other fellows, the employee needs some additional training or refresher training in order to ensure that everyone is equipped with the desired knowledge and skills to perform well in a certain domain.

It may be considered a weakness of mine, but I feel I can’t fully evaluate someone else’s performance if I don’t know the material first. One of the methods I employ prior to evaluating anyone else is to gather enough training and knowledge for myself, then delegate a task or issue to an employee. I would expect that any employee would work to utilize all resources they have and exhaust all possible solutions before approaching me with either the solution or with a possible solution. If a procedure can't be followed by the newest employee with minimal context and direction, the procedure needs work.
