It offers benefits such as role clarity, stakeholder engagement, reduced confusion and conflicts, improved communication, and enhanced efficiency and accountability.

To start with, goals are the first step to determine why we need the product. For instance, if my goal is to become an opening batsman, thats the first step in my cricketing journey. This is the clarity we need. In order to become an opening batsman, i need the required featues like batting instance, footwork etc. Secondly, in order to measure my batsmanship skills, i need some criteria, which becomes the criteria of the product. If I want to measure the skills as a batsman, i need to know the strike rate, average, scoring areas. If i combine my goals and criteria, my selectors (stakeholders) can now take an informed decision whether to pick me or give me some feedback to improve my vision and strategy.

There are many framework for Prioritazion such as RICE, MosCoW, Kano, storymapping, value vs effort etc. But I usually use RICE scoring model (Reach, Impact, Confidence, and Effort), which helps in objectively assessing the value and feasibility of each piece of feedback. This systematic approach aids in making informed decisions on what to prioritize.

Below are few: Eisenhower Matrix: Sorts tasks into four categories: urgent and important, important but not urgent, urgent but not important, neither urgent nor important. MoSCoW Method: Prioritizes tasks into must-haves, should-haves, could-haves, and won't-haves based on their criticality. In my experience it would be really challenging to handle when the product feature requests are placed by equally powerful, influential decision makers such as CFO, CIO ,CTO,BU head etc.Normally in these scenarios I have used MosCow prioritisation, Categorise the requests as Must have(All essentials product cannot be in business without that, including compliance requirements) , Nice to have (important( needed in the long run) but not needed immediately ), could have ( not important and not needed immediately, less impact and business benefits) , Won't have( not important or not needed immediately )Get back to them during better days or next cycle) This is one of the efficient methods, eases prioritisation and also attains transparency

Look for themes. You might receive feedback on very specific issues, that only impact very specific customers. But more likely - you will see themes emerge that encompass feedback gathered from multiple stakeholders. By prioritizing themes - you no longer have to prioritize between stakeholders. Chances are - fixing a theme adds value to multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

It helps to partner with someone in this process who is specifically looking for my bias and calling me on it.
