How can you ensure museum partnerships are inclusive and accessible?

We have measured the positive impact of public art projects on developing new audiences for the sector so I would suggest, just like LACMA successfully did in Los Angeles, to expand the museum beyond its imposing walls.

Start with a great idea that can only happen if all the partners involved work together in new ways for each of them. All partnerships go through difficult phases; in my experience the sense that something potentially groundbreaking is at stake keeps people motivated through those tough negotiations. Great museum partnerships can be transformational for audiences, artists, curators, and communities. They are characterised by vision, transparency, generosity and mutual respect. Above all they seize the opportunity to be ambitious in what they set out to do, even as they wrestle with how to get there.

There is only one main goal and value to achieve in any cultural partnership. To expose your art-product(s) as a symptom of an artist(s) co-creation/conversation with its non-physicaness. The artist’s conclusion of this interaction and its meaning. #TheSmartofArt #humanabilities #dyslexicthinking

Desde mi punto de vista, hay que definir qué entienden por "inclusivos" y "accesibles" las organizaciones que se van a vincular, para determinar asociaciones correctas y el diseño de un plan de trabajo enfocado, con metas reales. Alineados con la misión y visión de las organizaciones. Cuando se habla de "inclusivo y accesible" hay que tener claro que generalmente la infraestructura de un museo hace que una persona con alguna discapacidad física (por ejemplo) sea excluida, esa misma persona en su casa no lo es, porque ese espacio está diseñado para ella. Conocer al público "excluido" (Target) y buscar soluciones a la medida de ellos, es pensar integralmente teniendo como centro el fortalecimiento del ser humano.

The only co-creation should happen when the museum is really intimate with its space and background for art-pieces. Also talking about past exhibit experience. The artist is supposed to offer the pieces he wants to expose and feature and the museum must be able that the artist's art looks the best it can look in any museum. All of today's challenges are 99% financial because humanity is in a collective lack of it is never enough no matter what we do. Expressing art should be an experience of human possibilities not something that is repeated in a conservative way. Make exhibits that are one of one like all humans are.
