Few points to be Indispensable. Have a strong database and network of important talents of your current industry. Stay informed about the latest trend of your industry the new skills, emerging talents, high demand skills, target companies & etc. Build strong relationship with your hiring managers. Keep learning, take courses, get certifications, attend trainings given by that specific skilled professional.

In my experience, We can focus on some points: 1-Quantify Impact: Sourced top hires, reducing time-to-fill. Spearheaded referral program, boosting diverse hires. 2-Collaboration & Growth: Mentor junior members, fostering knowledge sharing. Continuously learning via training & conferences. Champion diversity & inclusion in recruitment practices. 3-Future Value: Proposed AI-powered sourcing strategy to attract niche talent. Identified emerging skill gaps & developed targeted pipelines. Built strong relationships with hiring managers for seamless talent acquisition. 4-Passion & Drive: Dedicated to finding the perfect fit for every role. Committed to exceeding team goals and driving business success.

Understanding the job description (JD) is essential, but it's equally crucial to delve deeper into the current business trends. This involves analyzing industry leaders and laggers, evaluating the performance of competitive companies throughout the quarter, and assessing how talent has influenced their trajectory. By synthesizing this research into our talent strategy, we gain invaluable insights not only into the talent landscape but also the broader industry landscape. This positions us to excel as marketers, adeptly showcasing our firm, and assuming the role of analysts to comprehend the substantial impact on our operations.

Communicating effectively helps in building strong relationships with diverse candidates, fostering a positive employer brand, and ensuring clarity throughout the recruitment process. It promotes transparency, trust, and a positive candidate experience.

I agree with all these points. However, I would add to be exhaustively transparent. Even to a fault. Bad news doesn’t age well and good news should never age. Leaders sometimes withhold information as a way of protecting people. Our teams are adults and leaders should allow their teams to process information how they see fit. It can be advantageous in some situations to control the narrative, but it’s best to follow the golden rule - treat others as you would like to be treated.

The ability to bring others along is critical to success within GTA. It’s important to provide clear succinct feedback in 360 fashion so that vested partners are engaged. This method will allow you to be a trusted advisor to stakeholders, a true partner to your vendors, and not a ‘typical’ recruiter to candidates. Your communication style and frequency are your personal Brand so it’s worth it to put time and effort in developing how you communicate and how you treat everyone that you interact with.

I would add that ghosting candidates (which happens all to often) is never acceptable, even if its bad news always get back to candidates especially if they have been though multiple interviews. You never know when candidates will become clients....

One thing that I've learned over the years is to value transparency and candor. Navigating dynamic situations, whether with candidates or internal stakeholders, becomes a lot more effective if everyone can all operate from that mutual foundation. I also tend to believe that this particular set of skills are signs of emotional intelligence and strong leadership. 💪

Automation will not replace human interaction. Automation will help us be more effective while we keep nurturing and providing good experiences to everyone that crosses our paths.

Technology is a powerful tool, but just like any tool…it’s all about how you wield it. It’s important that you leverage it to pair with your activity and not fully replace it. Technology should be a tool not a crutch. Use it to knock out low level redundant task. But rely on the human element for situations that call for it, like rejecting a candidate after a failed interview.

One thing I found it helpful is to seek being an early adopter in most - if not all - technology and innovation that is cascaded in my talent acquisition global team. The most valuable contributions we bring as global talent acquisition professionals is acting as trusted and strategic advisors to the business. When sooner we incorporate new technologies and automations, more time we have to invest in the most important part of our role: advising.

I’ve been a leader in TA for over 20 years and I’m still learning today. Each week I intentionally set aside time for development. Whether that be reading a book, listening to podcast or speaker, attending a course/conference/user group or mentoring. The key is intentionality. Education doesn’t just happen by mistake. Create situations and opportunities for you to learn. Seek out opportunities to learn from those with more and those with less experience. Certifications are nice but I am more interested in gaining knowledge over a badge. So seize the opportunity to learn even when others aren’t watching. In closing, share what you know. Don’t treat it like valuable IP. Learn it and then teach it. Share the gift of what you know.

I firmly believe that there are no limits when it comes to learning. Whether it's gaining new industry knowledge, mastering technologies, or acquiring new tools, embracing change is essential for continuous growth and excellence in an ever-evolving market. By constantly expanding your knowledge, you will enhance your ability to assess and evaluate talents using various metrics that effectively showcase their capabilities. This, in turn, enables you to align their skills with the specific needs and requirements of your clients.

In my experience eagerness to learn is one of the vital behaviors for the recruiter. Knowing the market, local or even global economics situation, candidates behavior, technology updated, and everything could be useful to create some strategies on the Hiring Processes, Attract more candidate and everything which has the goal to placed the candidates to the jobs we have.

As Talent acquisition partners, we need to understand beyond the JD, ours and the ones we're recruiting for. We are solving business challenges with human capital - and seeing yourself as a partner, including when the status quo needs to be challenged, is crucial to become an essential part of the team and the company.

To be an indispensable team member, staying relevant is crucial. Craft and cultivate your personal brand to establish credibility and offer deeper insights into who you are as an individual. Position yourself as an expert by showcasing the skills and experience you bring to the team. Become an asset to your peers by willingly sharing relevant information, taking on a mentorship role, and actively contributing ideas. Don't be afraid to identify gaps and propose solutions. Lastly, build and maintain relationships internally with cross-functional team members and externally with stakeholders. This not only helps you to stay relevant but also showcases your value to the team and the organization as a whole.

Stay away from internal politics. TA has stakeholders at all levels in all parts of the company. Rise above the petty gossip and remain impartial.

As a TA partner, you need to be very thorough on your skill set to understand the market, how to get market intelligence, and what's the best source to get the right talent. Now, if you are a part of a global team, then your insights are very valuable for the region you are handling. You have to really understand the stakeholders, their pain points, because they look forward for your insights as you are their go-to person and expert in the particular market where you are operating. How frequently you are connecting with them also keeps the relation healthy. You can also help the team in terms of providing them intel on comp, various laws that can provide add-on value to the team and business.

An additional factor to contemplate when managing an international workforce pertains to cultural awareness regarding their respective holidays.
