Have a selection of facilitation questions pre planned around the topic. Categories include Processing questions to facilitate sharing of understanding, Generalization questions to focus on the “why” of the content, Application questions that will focus on the practical applications, the “how” of the content. These questions aren’t to stop the discussion and read, they are to help you focus and direct the experience. By writing them out first you have added depth to your facilitation rather than the more typical off the top of our heads facilitation.
