During conflicts, our emotions are heightened and often direct the bulk of our actions or speech. It's important to allow these emotions and outpouring run their full course in a safe and respectful manner. When attempting to resolve a conflict, I've found it's effective to let the accusing party voice out their hurt, empathise with their emotions and reiterate their core grievance back to them as a form of affirmation that you're actively listening and they are understood. Once there is calm,ask probing questions from each to identify the root cause, directing the conversation in such a way that both parties come to mutual understanding and agreement on a way forward that works best for them.
