There are some newsletters that I read every day and help keep me up to speed with what's going on in the industry, economy, market etc. The ones I have passed over a few times without opening I take as a signal that they are not adding value and I unsubscribe.

Actually in my experience, in order to learn more about CRE it’s important to read newsletters and updates. It’s a vast domain and there is a lot of useful content outside the niche I work in but I leverage it to think about how I would strategize, build technology, grow marketing channels etc. So I automatically set my email box to filter them and add them to a folder called “articles”. I read them over the weekend and then delete them.

I believe it’s always best to at very least respond same business day, then utilize flags to prioritize your most to least urgent emails for follow up. Don’t be the one not reply and think that you are the master of everyone else and their priorities as we all have a job to do. If you cannot reply due to travel or all day meetings please utilize your OOO.

Acknowledge you have received and respond same business day, respond to mails that can be responded in less than 15 seconds first before intricate, complicated communications which requires a lot of thought to compose. This way, can manage time for other stuff but not stressing you are backlogged.
