A CV of a senior management Accountant should demonstrate robust financial skills and the ability to drive strategic decisions. It should should clearly show proficiency in forecasting, analysis, and financial reporting. It is also prudent to showcase your leadership skills, team work as a manager. Also mention successful projects that have contributed to the institution financial health one is working with.

You may have diverse skills and exposure in corporate accounting, but it is always better to decide which things to highlight in your CV as per the Job Description of a company. No two companies have the same job description. Hence, the CV needs to be tailor-made for each application. If you are applying for a Job in an early-stage startup, no point in highlighting your experience with stock exchange filings.

As a FD who has interviewed hundreds of people for entry level positions, the process is slightly different to looking for qualified candidates. This is incredibly important. accounting rules and legislation change continually, but its also every important to keep up to date with the economic situation a business is in and understand the external pressures on the business. Here i look for candidates to tell me what books they read, or who they follow on YouTube, even what newspaper they read.
