While it is true that e.g. Javascript is easier to learn than C , they also serve different goals and are used for different purposes. Learn what you need for what you want to do and you will be a lot happier than simply choosing the "easiest" language. Languages are nothing more than another tool in your toolkit that helps you solve a problem.

Do you want to be a cutting edge developer constantly looking for new roles with better salary or are you happy to remain with one company for years? In my case my FoxPro skills served me for decades with the same employer, then I learnt C# .NET and now in my own time I experiment with Python and neural nets. Although FoxPro is a dinosaur I still get paid to use it and the job suits me well. Others may prefer to stay on the cusp of technology and jump around for higher salary roles.

It also helps in training and how to handle errors that occur while coding since coding is not perfect all the time.

It's important to have 'fun' doing these projects. Take time to learn the tools you can use to aid you and always have a plan even if it's a few bullet points on the back of an envelope. Don't just throw code down until it works and consider it done, take a step back and look at how you can refactor it to be cleaner and more refined.

This isn't always the easiest job and burn out is a reality. Learn how to debug! I'm often surprised by people having never used a debugger, or know any debugging skills... You'll send a lot of time debugging code so you may as well learn how to do it well :)
