You probably have a few people on staff, a key volunteer or BOD members who are tech-savvy and would be glad to help. We have a key volunteer who helps with complex technical issues and a staff member who helps with routine tech issues. We call the staff person 1% when we have a tech question. He enjoys helping out in that area even though 99% of his job is events. And 1% enjoys talking to the tech-savvy volunteer when he can't figure it out. We have another team member who is great at Excel and happy to help others. We hired a Development Director who is excellent in Salesforce and teaching us news ways to maximize Salesforce. Do take note of the skills you see from your people. Just be sure and ask them before saying they will help!

Forming 'tasks forces' for technology challenges has worked well at our nonprofit. We had a Redbooth task force and they were able to come to the team with practical solutions that work well for us as a team. We have a Dropbox task force that is reporting next week on new best practices for our organization. It is imperative that the technology works for your organization and not the other way around.
