When I was recruiting for a Marketing role, my favorite CV's were those that I could see were made on Canva! 🎨 You are in such a unique position to showcase your skills in a creative way during your application, take advantage of that. You can use Canva or your even more impressive other technology skills to make your CV 'pop' ✨

Numbers are key in any resume, share numbers and quantify previous successes you have had. It's even more interesting/valuable to simply read a list of achievements than it is to read a list of duties 🧾

In the times of data and analytics, any recruiter would prefer to see quantifiable data in the resume that will help the recruiter decide whether they should go ahead with the candidate or not. Especially when it comes to a marketing role, recruiters look for the candidate's responsibilities along with their achievements for marketing strategies that worked out, the number of campaigns run, how they proved useful, etc.

If you aren't already familiar/versed in marketing tools, this is a great time to do some courses. List these on the side of your resume to make sure everyone can see them easily!

Create a list of commonly used marketing tools. Divide them into two sections: tools you have and haven't used. Research a bit about the ones that you haven't used so that when any interviewer asks about a commonly-used tool, you are not easily baffled.

Please don't worry about a cover letter 🧾😅 Just create a stellar, good looking CV that showcases your creative skills (no need to overdo it) and Marketing is about the only CV I would recommend a photo.
