You're aiming to lead in consumer electronics. What qualities are essential for your success?

Innovation has been a cornerstone of my career in consumer electronics. Early on, I realized that staying ahead requires more than just following trends—it’s about anticipating needs before they arise. For instance, when developing the Quin smart helmets, we integrated advanced crash detection sensors and AI, not because it was trendy, but because it could save lives. My drive to innovate is fueled by the belief that technology should not only be cutting-edge but also impactful.

Looking back, Zenith was once the gold standard for TV’s. RCA was highly regarded for the early record players and audio equipment. Koss owned the head phone category back in the 80’s. Two things they had in common, good performance and high reliability. This lead to great references from their customer base. Cost of ownership was reasonable considering the products should have a long trouble free life. Early on, Zenith was also repairable, which led to good references from those who repaired those devices. Today, the feature list has grown but it is important not to overlook what some may take for granted, such as easy to troubleshoot or great reliability. How many vacuum OEM’s put user serviceability as a top feature, before Dyson?
