Been there! Here's my playbook: 1. Hear it all. Open forum, let concerns fly. 2. Strengths unite. Identify team expertise, use it! 3. Win-win solutions. Brainstorm together, find common ground. (Example: We faced a data migration resistance. Devs worried about downtime, analysts feared data loss. We brainstormed segmented migrations, minimizing disruption for both!) 4. Shared vision. Crystallize goals, get everyone invested in the "why." 5. United front. Celebrate progress, keep communication flowing. It's not magic, but it builds trust and bridges the divide. Also help the team by using analogies - I often reference a soccer team where you can harmoniously have different views and positions to win together, in fact, its essential.

Business teams are often focused on immediate impacts and day-to-day and wary of changes that disrupt their workflows & customer interactions. On the other hand, transformation teams are looking at the bigger picture, aiming to future-proof the company with new technologies and processes even though there might be initial hurdles. What can be done? - Collaborative workshops for both teams to voice their concerns without fear of being shut down will help. - Highlight common goals. Be open and clearly explain the rationale behind the decision made by experts or a few team members to others. Ensure this is supported by data points and clearly defined expected outcomes. Give credit for all the constructive discussions and sharing of views that led to the decision. It's not always about crediting the person or team who provided the right solution; it is equally important to recognize others whose discussions and contributions influenced the decision. It’s always about #teamwork.
