In my experience, HOW MANY stakeholders you engage with is less important than engaging with the RIGHT STAKEHOLDERS at the RIGHT TIME. It's incredibly important that the WHY behind each stakeholder interaction is crystal clear to you. - Do you want additional ideas? - Do you just want the existing ideas validated? - Do you want input on the importance of impacts, risks or opportunities? - ... You need different stakeholder engagement approaches in different phases of the materiality assessment.
