Network, network, network! Building a priority list that starts with the people on your phone (especially your Champions!) and can grow from there by asking, "Who else do you think I should talk to?" I love to construct a "theme" of people and run down a list, especially if it's something I can expand my knowledge about, or catch up on industry shifts, etc. The best networking is about what you want to LEARN, not what you want to GET. And then you can say, "Who else could I learn from about this?"

Linkedin a de nombreux avantages pour faire du réseau : 1/ Vous pouvez écrire un message à un inconnu même si vous n'avez pas son adresse mail. 2/ Vous pouvez analyser e réseau de votre réseau et vous appuyer sur les relations communes pour rentre en relation 3/ Grâce à vos publications, vous vous rappelez au bon souvenir de votre réseau qui n'a pas entendu parler de vous depuis longtemps. N'attendez plus, soyez actif sur Linkedin et réveillez votre réseau !

I'm not going to sugarcoat it... if your job search needs a boost- your LinkedIn is likely step one. Your personal brand is EVERYTHING these days... ok well maybe not everything, resumes are darn important as well, but your brand and who you are professionally will make or break how may interview offers you may receive. Let's put it this way- these days everyone is using resume scanners and matching keywords and calling it a day for their resume... ok fine- if that is working for them, more power to them... but when that resume passes the filters and a REAL recruiters looks at your LinkedIn does it look good? And I mean GOOD? Be a part of the conversation and look like an industry leader... it will take you far!

Looking for work is like going on vacation - you need to have a plan. So if your search seems stalled, take a look at your strategy and see what needs adjusting. Focus on these 3 elements: online job board searches and applying for jobs, talking to recruiters, and 1:1 networking with people in companies you are interested in. Ensure you are engaged in a mix of these activities to breathe new life into your job search. Remember - every step is a step forward. Even if you don't see the results in the form of a new job, know that you are doing the right things (like a plant sprouting from a seed - a lot of growth takes place under the soil before you see that sprout of green above the surface!)
