It is important to know your audience - how familiar are they with statistical analysis? Do they need a quick primer on what mean, standard deviation, etc. means? How deeply do you need to communicate the analysis itself - are you primarily trying to convince your audience of your expertise and the quality of your analysis, or is more of a persuasive explanation?
