What are the best practices for designing a workshop agenda?

One way to get participants excited about the workshop is by sharing the agenda and asking them to identify one section they are eager to explore. This will allow them to understand the workshop objectives. They can then align their professional development goals to the objectives, increasing their likelihood of viewing the workshop as beneficial. At the beginning of each workshop, I ask teachers to share what they are excited to learn based on the agenda. After the workshop, teachers share one insight gained and answer the question: "What resources, tools, or support do you wish you had that would enhance your skills in (topic)? I can then use this information to design future support.

You need to understand who your target audience is/are. From there it becomes easy to filter out what will be the topic of the agenda.Based on the topic create an interactive session so that audience is engaged and interested in participation.
