By continuously monitoring processes, they aid in data-driven decisions, guide improvement initiatives, and ensure stability while driving continuous improvement efforts.

Control charts are a simple and effective way to monitor process performance. It will show when a process is out of control. This means that a process is not stable and some form of corrective action is required. Control Charts are an incredibly powerful tool in the right hands and will allow proper understanding of process performance. This will allow that process to be improved and eliminate wasted activity based on assumed knowledge of a process rather than actual data.

Control charts will provide us with real-time information on whether the process meets both specification and control limit. By identifying patterns, we can identify the root cause for the anomalies. But selecting the right chart is the key here.

Control charts should be used to estimate the baseline, this tool tells us how far historically we can go to define the current situation. Points to consider: 1. Review atypical data 2. Do not mix populations 3. Do not include time spaces that have had significant changes 4. Avoid non-significant data 5. See trends 6. Data streaks increasing or decreasing 7. Garbage in the data.

Control charts like pulse points of your heart beat..... it will plot your process output to graphical representation. You can see ... monitor ... and take decision based on the collective pulse points...

Control charts are how I demonstrate variability in the process and focus my investigation. I can also use them to validate the impact of previously identified issues and identify patterns caused by factors I hadn’t yet considered.
