Den Plot kannst Du wie die übliche Heldenreise gestalten. Es ist ein bewährter Klassiker. Natürlich kannst Du das dann noch erweitern. Füge "Side-Stories" zu deiner eigentlichen Geschichte hinzu. Jeder wird mal abgelenkt und das Leben führt einen nicht immer in die gewünschte Richtung. Manchmal öffnet sich ein neuer Konflikt beim Lösen des alten. Aber, jeder neue Konflikt sollte von der Erzählstruktur gut aufgebaut sein und dennoch zum eigentlichen Plot relevant sein. Diese Relevanz kann sich natürlich auch erst später zeigen. Neue Verbündete, ein enthülltest Geheimnis, oder anderes.

Deine Charactere sind echte Personen innerhalb deiner Welt. Sie haben Überzeugungen, Probleme, Verbindungen, Ziele und Einstellungen. Überlege dir, wie Dein Character tickt. Was treibt ihn an? Wie würde er in bestimmten Situationen handeln? Was macht ihn zu dem, was er jetzt ist? Und, gib Deinem Character Fehler. Niemand ist perfekt. Die einen sind dumm, die anderen naiv, andere haben Vorurteile, andere sind faul, geizig, lüstern, bemutternd, rechthaberisch, narzistisch, pessimistisch, sie sind Lügner, Betrüger, aggressiv, schüchtern ... Fehler machen uns menschlich und real.

Using your voice in your stories and your audience communications will further authentic your stories. This will aid in building relationships with your audience. Successful storytelling campaigns are successful because they each have their own unique voice.

I see this as an important ingredient in storytelling, and that is what I call "being you". It is to retain your authenticity, vulnerability and relatability throughout your storytelling. This is truly about using your voice, being true to it and not trying to be others.

Once you have a good understanding of the campaign, you can start to apply the lessons you have learned to your own work.
