Sometimes, it would not allow to share on Twitter or TikTok and you need to be aware of that prior to using these sorts of tools. - Does the tool showcase analytics across all social media platforms? - Can it schedule short-format videos in advance? or would I have to do it manually? - Are there other features within this tool like hashtag lists, automation, etc.?

What would you have done differently or do again next time? The interview panel will want to see that you not only have the experience of optimisation but that you have an understanding of the importance of metrics, what they mean and how you can apply that insight in the future.
Asking insightful questions is a great way to demonstrate your social media savvy and interest in the SMO role. Doing your research, being curious, and demonstrating eagerness to learn more is key. For example, you could ask questions such as: what are the main social media goals and challenges for the company? How do you measure and report on your social media success? What are the key social media trends and opportunities in your industry or niche? How do you collaborate with other teams or departments on social media projects? And how do you handle negative feedback or crisis situations on social media?

Focus on the objectives for being active in social and build out follow up questions on what the company wants to achieve, and why. What are the pain points? How receptive are the senior leaders to being active on social? How integrated is social in the marketing ecosystem? Understanding the challenges that you might encounter and what the company wants to achieve is a great way of formulating your approach to answering questions and, if you get the role, how you execute.
After the interview, don't forget to follow up with a thank you note. This is a simple but effective way to show your appreciation, professionalism, and enthusiasm for the SMO role. In your note, restate your interest and qualifications, highlight your main strengths and achievements, and mention something specific that you learned or enjoyed during the interview.
