As rightly mentioned above, Site conditions (existing and proposed) plays an important role deciding the cost of Retaining wall, In Civil Engineering (Site Grading) projects whenever the existing and proposed design elevation difference increases more than 3 to 1 (33.33%) we have an option to go with retaining wall and We can design bottom of wall and top wall elevation which ultimately gives us the height of retaining wall. Hence more the height of retaining wall, more will be the cost.
