I agree with most everything here. However, your LinkedIn profile photo should reflect who you are. The standard head shot was always considered “professional”. Change the previous norms- be who you are and you will attract the right fit.

Advice was given to me years ago by a colleague. Your linked in profile isn’t a resume. It’s a place where you can show an extension of who you are in the workplace. Your values, skills and accomplishments that will make you stand out amongst the rest. When my position was eliminated from a previous company worked for, I was able to partner with an organization that specialized in helping me with my linked in presence. Invest in yourself!
