Goals must be SMART which means it should be feasible to make sense for organisation(Realistic). It is also crucial for organisation to have enough resources for achieving the goal(Achievable).

To define your goals I suggest QQOQCP and SMART in order to understand the context and to elaborate a clear vision about its perspectives. SMART to make sure that your goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Temporel

Por mais esforço se faça para priorizar as atividades, o alinhamento e o diálogo com a alta administração, são o que enriquece o profissional e viabiliza sucesso na execução. Os executivos tem dificuldade em enxergar o cotidiano operacional e a força gerencial decide por vezes sem enxergar o todo. O êxito da tomada da decisão advém do exercício de calibrar as decisões do dia a dia com a estratégia do negócio.

One thing I have found most helpful is connecting the vision and direction of bigger picture of the organisation to a goal and then it to be communicated from top management to working level teams. without a doubt the goal has to be SMART but without linking to proper vision and bigger picture it may lose its momentum. Communicating what vision you will be part of with linkage to a SMART goal would be a great way to achieve it.

Una metodología que considero relevante para este propósito es tener los OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), ya que permite establecer objetivos claros y medibles alineados con la misión y visión de la organización. Al tener estos objetivos bien definidos para todas las posiciones de la empresa cada decisión se enfoca en alcanzar los resultados clave deseados. Esto asegura que las decisiones estén basadas en datos, necesidades operativas y objetivos estratégicos lo cual facilita interpretar cualquier tipo de impacto de las decisiones a nivel general y al detalle por cada posición.

La recopilación de datos es crucial, pero no basta con reunir información. Dependiendo del tipo de decisión a tomar es vital entender su origen, organizarla e interpretarla de la mejor forma. Las herramientas como Excel, Power BI o tableros de control son algunas de las que más utilizo para visualizar y analizar datos de manera precisa. Utilizar estos recursos permite visualizar datos limpios y estructurados para identifica patrones y permite ajustar dependiendo de lo que se necesite.

A mí me ha resultado útil el mapeo de procesos para alinear, ajustar y estandarizar los procedimientos en la toma de decisiones

Data gathering has to be done properly with the help of data collection plan through 8 steps as articulated below. 1. What are performance measures? 2. What is operation definition of these performance measures? 3. Which Stratification factors to consider? Be careful to choose not too many or too less, just enough to justify the complexity of the goal on case by case basis. 4. What is data source and location? 5 to 7. How, Who and When will the data be collected? 8. Finally the sample size. Hope this helps.

First we need to take note of actual situation and collect data to identify issues, next define our goals and doing action plan to make improvements based on specific needs and objectives, and we should use some methodology of six sigma lean. In the end we compare results and evaluate what we need add more if it’s necessary.

In my experience, when I was working as management of changes leader something which I learned is that in the risk assessment is highly recommended involucre to the people from all levels in the company who is part of the process, change, etc. in the analysis. Plus set the individuals who can be the owners in the duties to manage the risks.
