The best way to stay tuned with the industry is to visit websites of an oil and gas or an energy company which talks about the lastest technology they have developed or upcoming landscapes they are going to achieve (atleast we know what everyone is doing and where the industry is flowing towards on a larger extent). A huge thanks to all the websites that still provide free content about all the subjects of O&G. Certifications, simulations, practical scenarios and their impact on real-life field events etc. are still available online for free on many platforms if searched for. YouTube creators are boon for the current times who are giving all the content for free (tune in the playlist and you are there atleast 60%).

Networking and seeking for support plays a pivotal role for a O&G engineer or an employee. We know that majority of the industry runs on the basis of contacts and that is how efficiency, technlogical advancements, futuristic plans and best-in-class knowledge can be shared through. LinkedIn itself is a great tool to create your own set of contacts which can help you with guidance, opportunities to work or represent yourself at global events, working on research papers, collaborating on various activities etc. Seeking support does not show that you are in need of something but reflects a positive intent of staying intact with industry.

One approach to stay motivated is by regularly seeking feedback from supervisors, colleagues, or mentors. Constructive feedback can help us identify areas for improvement and motivates us to enhance your skills. Also, engaging with professional organizations like SPE, attending industry conferences, and participating in networking events will give us an opportunity to connect with peers who share similar interests and can provide new ideas and fresh perspectives multi-dimensionally.

Some points to consider. Your organisations may also have their internal affiliation with some academic platforms. There might be executive learning program which can allow you to further your education without leaving your job.
