I make sure to set the tone at my meetings stating that every idea will be considered, and that no idea will be rejected without a discussion. Before any discussion point is closed, I ask each participant directly whether they have an alternative view. Initially, junior staff may be intimidated to be put 'on the spot' but once they start to trust the system, these will allow the collective to avoid overlooking details which were inadvertently left out.

In healthcare’s journey towards providing accurate and exceptional services, embracing technology is pivotal. The digital age continues to offer us incredible tools both hardware and software that can transform how we manage, health, professional workflows and patient care. Two of the most notable healthcare innovation/management tools/software has been the rollout and incorporation of: Electronic health records (EHR) systems and Telemedicine platforms. Each of these come with their own set of challenges and obstacles to optimal delivery, but embracing these innovations we have improved patient outcomes and satisfaction. Leveraging this technology has allowed me to elevate the standards of care in the sectors of healthcare I work with.

Being aware of the many types of software in Healthcare allows for more flexibility to become an asset with its function and also the trainability to train other co-workers.

Technology and innovation in my opinion inevitably ups quality after safety in healthcare with the added benefit of cutting costs. But before that the leader must create a "fearless" environment (where fear doesn't exist) where the team is comfortable sharing opinions and ideas. Several brains are better than one and may the best idea win!

If policies aren’t created, leaders should help create policies that allow for academic, professional growth and development opportunities. Policies should includes a tuition reimbursement as well as educational leaves at minimum. Keeping younger members constantly learning and training in new tech, enables their personal & professional growth and in turn empowers the team . Team longevity improves and even if some leave after the training , the goodwill still works for the team and keeps doors open for future engagement .

El reconocimiento del trabajo bien hecho y los méritos del equipo es un pilar fundamental en la justicia laboral y la manera de motivar y favorecer la mejora de los trabajadores. I’ve implemented software at hospital systems for the past 8 years and validating user specific value is critical for long term project success including initial project planning, scoping, ROI tracking and so on.

I was a part of a few pilot roll outs and from my personal experience it was very enlightening. Curiosity of doing not only your job but reaching out to participate in the pilot taught me how this would be implemented but then to see the actual roll out happen was very exciting. It's now a standard process and just to know I had a part in that new innovation was/is something I'll never forget. Stepping outside your box can have great rewards.

Identify with each of your team members. Know that work is not everything to all or most people. Celebrate kid's milestones, and empathize with illness in parents. Don't party constantly, life is not all fun and games, and work is a healthy chunk of life. Celebrate the wins, accept the non-wins. Thank each team member every day for showing up to work and bringing it. Help less robust team members get more robust. I have a technician who I hired as a kid. She would actually faint when things got stressful. I got so I would literally yell, " Don't Faint," at her. Soon enough she stopped fainting and is a treasured and robust team member, to this day. Give them what they need, and they will give you what you want.

One thing I find helpful is implementing ideas as quickly as possible. That helps the team to quickly know what ideas work and which ones don’t work.
