Things that worked for me as a team lead which has helped me and my team perform much better are - Trust - Empowerment - Encouragement While its very important to build trust with your team so that there is a room for open communication even when things are not going good as that will help businesses to solve the problem at hand once its in open.I have always believed in empoering team and allow them to vring fresh ideas and experiments.Its may fly or fail but again most of the times they will surprise you positively as theres a sense of ownership and motivation and not just a task. Even if they fail its important to encourage team to keep taking up challenges and not stop in fear of failiures.

I've discovered that leadership embracing empathy and a service-oriented mindset is incredibly beneficial. When people prioritize serving each other, team building occurs naturally, and barriers dissolve.

If team-building activities are the goal, then let's build trust transparently. We don't all have the empathy gene. Yes, it can be developed, but we need to accept people as they are. Recently, in a workshop, someone said, "I don't care how your day was; I just need to do my job." It was an honest statement. Now his team know his priorities. When I asked him if he cared about the team, he said, "Yes, of course, but this is work, and my love goes home to my family." We are often told that teams must feel like family to succeed. In some environments and companies, sure, but not everyone is built like that, not everyone wants to be like that. If we take the recent World Cup win as a case study, two thing which stand out are; firstly, every member played for the team and not for personal land marks and secondly, every member enjoyed the success of every other member.
