I have a different perspective, a person as a leader or manager can have best of the team member whom he can delegate and micromanage, but to ensure that the team gels and works in resonance and synchronised manner, they need to have a strong bonding and that happens with common definite and a purposeful achievable Goal. I really missed at the beginning of defining very clearly why collaboration is important and how this will help the X-function teams to become better, deliver better outcomes. Without clear purpose and driving mindset shift it is really hard to drive collaboration.
