For example, in a hybrid work environment, for days in the office, ensuring critical-mass on certain days can be helpful to humanize interactions and enable organic collaboration opportunities, but without critical mass, in office work is just commuting to Zoom. Outputs can be tracked objectively with metrics. Leverage first principles thinking to break the business down into fundamental components which are tracked as KPIs and KRIs. You can also set OKRs to drive growth in a direction for the team or business.

For the team to feel their creativity is embraced, ideas need to be stimulated. Thus, a great approach would be the reward. The definition of KPIs must reflect this mindset, as it shows the company actually sees this as a desired behavior, not as a “side responsibility” that comes with the job.
