Nothing like a good meal in breaking barriers and overcoming trust issues 2) Set ground rules - avoid attacking the person, come up with solutions and options, understand why the other person is saying what they are saying, etc. 3) Most importantly, give respect. Once the person sees you giving respect (might not be agreeing), automatically they are likely to respond the same way with respect.
