In the online setup, clear processes and light-weight documentation help building trust and transparency: - always have the onboarding process written (if possible using an onboarding tool but not mandatory) so people can understand from day 1 what are the steps they will have to follow - document the key information and keep it updated on the intranet or shared folder: from benefits to objectives, everything has to be clearly written down and available for double-check later - be clear with the onboarding objectives: avoid generic ones ("integrate in the team") and prefer specific ones ("meet 1:1 with each team member for at least 30 minutes during your first 2 weeks")
