Ask the team for their input. Why do they think the team is struggling? By taking the time to step back and understand the issues that are the root cause, something positive can be done. Look at utilising the skills effectively in the team. Shadowing to allow more experienced to coach and support others. Training needs analysis- are there skills lacking? Can the training be done in house? People - are the right people doing the right jobs? Do they get on together or is there a clash somewhere? Taking a step back and planning often helps to understand where the issues are and then how to resolve them.

With hours being cut this can be difficult, but take the hit at first training and your reward will be quality associates and team.
