In my experience with remote testing teams, setting clear and achievable goals is crucial. When everyone knows exactly what's expected, they can stay focused and feel a real sense of accomplishment when they hit those targets. I’ve found that using a system to track progress and show how both individuals and the team are doing helps a lot. This kind of transparency keeps everyone accountable and shows how their work fits into the bigger picture. It boosts engagement and makes everyone more committed to the project.

Remote team just like on-site team needs to understand the clear and reasonable goals and metrics. Because often what's not measured, is not done.

One thing I found helpful is to keep the goals clear and understand the scope of testing to avoid defect leakages. At the end of the day we all want to deliver a quality product. Asking questions is key to achieve this.

1:1 check in’s via teams video conferencing. Give the associate the opportunity to discuss any daily changes, opportunities for growth and just ask your associate how they are doing in and out of work. Find out their interests outside and ask questions to connect with similar interests. Make the conversations more than just work.

Easy, use teams and everyone uses it. We had a guy who never would say a word. Finally called him and asked why. He said he turned it off as it kept popping up to big on his screen. Showed him how to fix that and how to sort his screens. Turned out he was doing great. I was not the boss. But then he posted in the cat what I helped him with. All was good. We always asked questions that way and gave new information.
