Based on my experience, here is my best advice: 1- Use a project management tool that is flexible and allows online collaboration. (Clickup, Asana, Jira) 2 - Plan meeting time, and keep a consistent cadence for your standup sessions. 3 - Set communication channels based on the message to be communicated. (Quick updates can be shared via chatGroup, and documents must be shared in digital and editable format via Email). 4 - Establish the methodology to evaluate efforts and to assign due date for each task.

It's of vital that the CEO doesn't judge the workers but to give Fair hearing and this could lead to a constructive dialogue with the team as well in an organization. We cannot do without challenges and an uprising situations, the most important thing is, the workers should be encouraged to speak up and by doing so, solutions to handling the issues will be abated. I've worked in a firm whereby the workers have no say, whatever the CEO says is final and it's not encouraging. You know, many times in life we don't value what we have until we lose it.

This would include an agenda of assessing risk/issues/needs help for each team member. All team members are able to offer help and identify issues on any part of the project.

When leading a remote project team, you can guarantee transparent communication for success by first working with them one-on-one & putting them through the acid test. This is how the test works. Establish reporting protocol that utilizes remote collaboration software & assign tasks. Don't respond to reports & missed deadlines flagged by the system. Most of us stop reporting on schedule or taking deadlines seriously when there is no reaction (reminder/questioning/consequences) to stimuli (no reporting/missed deadlines/lack of accountability). Eliminate them from remote project team. It's possible you may have no one left. So, outsource from freelancing platforms because there are in-built mechanisms to ensure performance & timely delivery.
