To lead a remote project, It is important to establish governance at the beginning and align on the communication method. Based on my experience, here is my best advice: 1- Use a project management tool that is flexible and allows online collaboration. (Clickup, Asana, Jira) 2 - Plan meeting time, and keep a consistent cadence for your standup sessions. 3 - Set communication channels based on the message to be communicated. (Quick updates can be shared via chatGroup, and documents must be shared in digital and editable format via Email). 4 - Establish the methodology to evaluate efforts and to assign due date for each task.

There are several tactics that can be utilized to lead a remote project team to achieve transparent communication which helps the team be successful. The most critical tactic, as I see it, is to stay consistently connected. Interpersonal relationships are vital to high-functioning teams. Being remote does not preclude this necessary team dynamic. Next, ensuring a culture that assumes positive intent and creates psychological safety allows for transparency. Once the foundational human connection, trust and safety needs are met, organizational tactics kick in. These tactics include: set collaboration times, shared communication channels, project visibility, working support sessions, and over communication and confirmation of understanding.

It's of vital that the CEO doesn't judge the workers but to give Fair hearing and this could lead to a constructive dialogue with the team as well in an organization. We cannot do without challenges and an uprising situations, the most important thing is, the workers should be encouraged to speak up and by doing so, solutions to handling the issues will be abated. I've worked in a firm whereby the workers have no say, whatever the CEO says is final and it's not encouraging. You know, many times in life we don't value what we have until we lose it.

One thing I've found helpful is for leaders to implement regular, structured check-ins with the team. E.g., weekly progress updates and bi-weekly one-on-one sessions.
