This is extremely important. I handle most of my financial services clients via Zoom and it's a different environment to do so in. I had to learn how to create a positive and comforting environment for my clients virtually which meant my facial expressions and tone needed to be what helped my clients feel that way. When handling personal information it becomes important that your clients feel they can truly trust you and relate to you.

There really shouldn’t be any difference in how you handle a sensitive situation virtually vs in-person. You should have the same empathy, the same listening skills, the same support, the same confidentiality, etc as you would face to face. Virtual is here and we shouldn’t be viewing it as any different than in person, regardless of the scenario.
