Do not learn by rote which leads to a robotic delivery. Understand the main subtext of your speech and work on your intonation and tone. For eg- a paragraph written with the intention to motivate the audience needs to be delivered in a motivating tone of voice. Modulate your voice, enunciate the key words and work on how to engage with an audience. Practice in front of a mirror & record yourself. Also practice in front of a small group of peers & take feedback to implement. Join speaking clubs like Toastmasters to build confidence & get experience.
