I have found that if fundamentals are clear then only we can excel in any field. For software testing, learning fundamentals is crucial as we are the ones who decides if software is built with acceptable quality or not. If our testing fundamentals are not clear, then we cannot expect the testing is up to the mark. Different types if testing is required as we move the code into lower or upper environment. Unit testing is done when code is developed in sandbox/dev. Integration testing is done i mn upper environment than dev. Like that other testing are also decided as per the environments and severity of failure.

Deeply understand various testing types (unit, integration, system, acceptance) and their application within the SDLC. This foundational knowledge is crucial for building expertise.
