If getting everyone on a call requires some employees to log in outside of office hours, they definitely should be allowed to log in from home. You should check with the team to see what works best. Take special care to consider impact on employees with young children (school run, family diner). It may also be appropriate to have local sub-team meetings often and reserve the full-team meeting to 1x or 2x a month.
