Ask around, get on demo calls, have discovery calls. Put in the hours and the work to get as much information as possible. Research Information = informed decision.

When we look for suppliers, we should focus on research & building partnerships. Sometimes, a supplier may not start with the best quality but through open comm'n & working together, we can improve. For example, we recently partnered with a service provider (confidentiality prevents me from naming them). At first, their service quality wasn't perfect. However, by giving them feedback regularly, they adjusted their processes to meet our standards, which ultimately strengthened our bond with them. Instead of seeing suppliers only as business transactions, forming partnerships encourages them to prioritize offering us cost-effective solutions. It's about building relationships where both parties benefit.

This is something we do often, I propose that a company release an RFP so that they can analyze proposals and compare apples to apples when evaluating different suppliers. However, one should not focus primarily on the price. Prioritize product and service quality, reliability, and long-term solution value.
