I see so many founders who see the word 'investor' and will pitch their b2c pre-seed startup to a medical VC... Founders wouldn't spend so much time pitching if they spent 5 minutes knowing the thesis.

Customize your pitch to resonate with their interests and prepare for potential queries. Remember, while product and market matter, your team's ability to execute is crucial. Highlight your team's strengths as VCs invest in people who can deliver results.

In my experience the slide deck must place as much time and emphasis on the management team. In fact it is the most important variable. VCs invest in product and market, but they must have the confidence that the team can execute the plan and get to the endzone.

As per my experience: you deck should highlight the strength of the startup. Be it management, idea, traction etc. Sell your strength. But be realistic. And tell your audience very clearly of what you want and why you want.
