What are the best ways for BPO employees to prepare for performance evaluations?

Data is the boss. With multiple ways of tracking productivity, accuracy this should be the basis of performance evaluation. Having said this, it is not only the direct work that should be part of evaluation, it should also consider training hours, contribution to process improvement, team mentoring and participating in group activities. The ideal way would be to have individual score card with various parameters assigned and reviewed on a monthly basis and share feedback. This will avoid surprises and time to work on feedback.

There are some numbers that come from reports that are readily available, and while monthly tracking may not be required, what is required are 1- any appreciations 2- any challenges 3- extra projects that you have completed that are not part of your remit 4- examples of behaviors where one has exhibited company values or represented the company etc 5- summary of your monthly/quarterly feedback A year is too long a time, and many of us don't remember the small things that may have impacted the business, so keeping a journal or an Excel-based sheet with an incident logging system will help you in your evaluation. During the review and post ensure you walk away with a clear view on 1- Went well 2- Not 3- Steps to succeed 4- Personal plans

Data pertaining to one's performance. Nothing can help you more than your performance data so that there is no subjectivity in your appraisal process, if you have KRA's then have your KRA vs your actuals performance details. Any appreciation mails from client / customers. Previous years performance details with the areas of improvements listed to show the current status on those points. Your areas of improvement and plan for that. Initiatives that you have taken in the appraisal year and for the coming year.

As BPO thrives upon data representation and selling, Employees are no different when it comes to selling themselves in performance evaluations. Most of the employees know their TAT and KPIs if they can create strong support around those points,It will be a win situation for them. Highlighting success points along with data support create a huge plus during evaluations.

Annually you have your evaluations. 1. Your achievements in the past months. 2. Your quality and quantity should be align in your matrix. 3. Had a perfect attendance as possible. 4. A client feedbacks is a plus. 5. Determine your next goal. 6. Have a good training 7. And lastly you had a team rapport.
