I'll be speaking from a tech perspective, as that's where most of my experience lies. Tell them the story of the product, what the product is and what are the benefits to the clients using it and how the success of this product or feature's innovation will impact their resume, career and experience. If you want to make their work much more simplified give them a UI/UX with a task assigned on JIRA, where each task should be of maximum 7 or 8 hrs. The UI/UX will help them in visualization and JIRA can help them in keeping a track and making them feel like they have achieved their goal for the day. And do not micromanage them.

Establish Clear Responsibilities: Role Definitions: Outline the specific duties and responsibilities for each role. This should include day-to-day tasks as well as long-term objectives. Expectation Setting: Clearly communicate what is expected from each team member in terms of performance, deadlines, and quality of work. This helps team members see the bigger picture and understand the importance of their work. Impact Awareness: Regularly update the team on how their contributions are impacting the product's progress and success. This reinforces the value of their efforts.

Establishing clear boundaries & assigning tasks to individuals without micro-managing them, gives them to space to understand the work, ask their questions and do their work in a more focused setting. This helps not only an individual grow but also brings in more confidence in them.

Clearly define the project goals and expectations, but allow flexibility in how they are achieved. At Morgan Stanley, we had a major project aimed at improving our risk management control framework. I set clear objectives but allowed team members the flexibility to experiment with different methods to achieve these goals. One team member proposed a unconventional approach to data analysis that significantly enhanced our risk assessment accuracy. By giving them the autonomy to pursue their idea, we not only met our project objectives but also introduced a new, innovative process that was adopted across our global Ops Risk and Control teams. This approach empowered team members to take ownership and drive product innovation.

With the introduction of AI tools in the product management space, tools help in predicting the success by quantifying the metrics and help in making smart decisions. This helps to predict and take a surer call on executing a particular task.
